A small church at the edge of the town, is the place where Vespers service is offered for the pilgrims. Father Manuel, who is the parish priest there, is a great believer in a saying attributed to St. Augustine – He who sings prays twice. The popular spiritual melodies are all offered in different languages.

Pilgrims are naturally welcome to suggest a spiritual tune of their own. if you don’t believe you have a good singing voice, Father Manuel will encourage you by joining in a song, and in your own language (he speaks several). The service ends with a very powerful and intense pilgrim blessing.
