Camino Along the Rivers: Karlovac (Hrnetić – Turanj)

Are you looking for a Camino experience that combines spiritual peace, pristine nature, and the beauty of two rivers? Join us on this new Camino section that follows the Korana and Kupa rivers from Hrnetić to Turanj—a journey filled with tranquility, greenery, and memorable encounters. This new route winds through Karlovac County; be among the first to discover it.
Starting point: St. Martin’s Parish Church, Hrnetić (parking area next to the church and cemetery)
Program:
8:30 – 9:00 Pilgrim gathering
9:00 – 9:30 Pilgrim blessing at the Church of Croatian Martyrs; welcoming speeches by the organizers
9:30 Departure onto the Camino trail; walking along the Korana and Kupa rivers towards the National Shrine of St. Joseph
11:45 – 13:00 Mass at the National Shrine of St. Joseph; lunch break
13:00 – 17:30 Continuing the walk along the rivers to Turanj
17:30 – 17:45 Conclusion of the program in Turanj
A return transfer to Hrnetić is organized, so you don’t need to worry about getting back—simply come along and enjoy the journey.
Notes:
Participation is at your own risk. Bring food and water – lunch is not provided (aside from a meal break that everyone organizes for themselves).
Be sure to bring appropriate footwear and gear.
