The second day of Camino Banovina introduces the beautiful nature of the countryside. The path leaves Petrinja along the gorgeous promenade next to the river Petrinjčica. After reaching the Pulmonary hospital complex the path enters the forest. The terrain is not too demanding with several short and gentle climbs. After a few hours of walking through the forest the path passes near the ruins of the medieval town of Hrastovica with the ruins of the church of the Holy Spirit. It continues out of the forest and enters the present village of Hrastovica with its church of St. Bartholomew. This is a good opportunity for a short rest before tackling the steep forest rise leading to Hrastovica hill.

On top of the hill lies a mountain lodge “Matija Filjak”, a place for well deserve rest after the climb. The road continues through the forest until it reaches the main road. Make sure you wear a reflective vest and be careful with regard to vehicle traffic. A detour from the main road leads to the village of Hrvatski Čuntić with a Franciscan monastery from the 17th century and the ruins of a 16th century fort. After leaving the village, after a short part along the road, the route reaches the destination for the second day – Prnjavor Čuntićki.
