The 18th-century castle of Count Antun Janković, located in the very center of the city, is a protected cultural monument of the Republic of Croatia, 1st category, and one of the most valuable Baroque buildings in the county. The castle was built in the shape of the letter U. The three wings of the castle border a courtyard facing north. On the ground floor and on the first floor there are 60 rooms. The central place in the central wing is occupied by the largest room of the castle – the salon. In addition to this dance and concert hall, on the first floor there was a library, dining room, boudoir, bedrooms, a men’s salon and guest rooms.
Dioš is one of the youngest Slavonian castles, located on the hill of the same name about seven kilometers north of Daruvar, near the village of Končanica. The rich architecture of the castle, the interior rooms, the harmony of the exterior elements make this building rich and beautiful, which makes it fit in perfectly with the surrounding environment. The castle is not open to the public. Every year in the month of May, on the feast of Mary Help of Christians, a great feast of the Salesians, a procession is held, which gathers a large number of believers and curious people.
The old Garić grad is located on the northern slopes of Moslavina Mountain, above the present-day village of Podgarić. The city, surrounded by a double line of defensive walls, was accessed over a wooden bridge from the south side. In preserved sources, Gradić-grad is first mentioned in 1256. After the expulsion of Ottoman forces from the Moslavina region at the end of the 17th century, Garić-grad was no longer renovated. It was not until the mid-20th century that research and restoration of this valuable immovable cultural property began.
