Dubovac Old Town is one of Croatia’s most beautiful and best-preserved monuments of feudal architecture. Situated atop a prehistoric mound overlooking the Kupa River, it owes its name to the dense oak forests that once surrounded it. Throughout history, it has changed hands among various noble families and undergone structural transformations; its current appearance is the result of a thorough 20th-century restoration. Here, visitors can enjoy a fairytale-like medieval courtyard, visit the museum inside the *Branič-kula* (Defense Tower), and take in the most stunning view of Karlovac at dusk.
