This section is optional – it is interesting for those who want to continue their pilgrimage in Slovenia (on the the Way of St. James) and for those who want to visit Kozji vrh, also known as Žalosni vrh, and the famous pilgrimage site – the Church of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows. From Parag to Gorača, the route leads along the main road, and then continues through the forest to Kozji vrh, where you will cross the main road and continue up a gentle slope to the church. From there, you continue towards Prezid. The route leads through the forest and beautiful untouched nature, and in some parts it also offers a beautiful view of Slovenia. Although it does not lead to the very center of the settlement, but surrounds it, it is possible to deviate from the route for just a few minutes and seek refreshment in one of the bars and restaurants and visit the church of St. Vitus and the old Roman wall Limes. After Prezid, you continue towards the border settlement of Kranjci, pass through Kozji vrh again and return to the starting point of this section – Parag.
Accommodation availability between and at the end of this recommended daily route is limited.
Some pilgrims choose accommodation at one destination on the Camino Gorski Kotar route and use local taxi services to get to and from the daily stages.
