From the starting point – Parag – the path leads through a beautiful landscape of forests, meadows and gentle hills, so magical that at one point you will think that you found yourself in the Alps. After only 2 kilometers of walking you will reach the beautiful small village of Makov Hrib. The path will lead you to the chapel of the Exaltation of St. Cross, and then you descend to the main road and continue towards Ravnice, a settlement spread over rolling meadows, and further towards Crni Laz – hidden under a dense coniferous forest at the foot of Rudnik, a former famous ski resort. You continue with a leisurely walk again all the way to the central settlement of this stage – Tršće. Its center is dominated by the church of St. Andrew, and this is also the point where you can look for accommodation. As soon as you leave the settlement, a more difficult climb awaits, towards Kraljev Vrh, a small town that offers beautiful panoramic views.

From here, the path continues through the forest all the way to Sveta Gora – a sanctuary that offers pilgrims not only spiritual peace but also a magnificent view that combines the natural beauty and holiness of the place. Filled with spiritual peace and intoxicated by the natural beauty, you descend through the forest to the main road and soon arrive in Mali Lug, and then Gerovo. The next section begins with a turn on the main road towards Hrib, but it is worth briefly leaving the route (approx. 5min walk) and continuing towards the center of Gerovo. The church of St. Hermagor and Fortunatus will immediately catch your eye here, and after this section in the settlement you can secure a well-deserved rest in one of the accommodation facilities.

Accommodation availability between and at the end of this recommended daily route is limited.

Some pilgrims choose accommodation at one destination on the Camino Gorski Kotar route and use local taxi services to get to and from the daily stages.
