This gentle and picturesque section begins in Lokve, from where you head towards Slemen along the Golubinjak Promenade, reaching the entrance to the famous Golubinjak park-forest. The path then follows the edge of the forest and the main road towards the turnoff for the Vrata settlement. Passing through the village of Vrata, you have the opportunity to visit the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, which is located in the very center, a quiet refuge for a short prayer, gratitude and a peaceful respite. After passing through Vrata, the path continues along the main road towards Fužine. The view opens up towards the beautiful Lake Bajer, which adorns the village of Fužine and continues to the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, the largest church in Gorski Kotar, which dominates the view of the village with its impressive building. If you want to feel the charm of the place and taste local delicacies, we definitely recommend a short trip to the center of Fužine – one of the most famous tourist destinations in Gorski Kotar, with a rich catering and accommodation offer.

From the church of St. Anthony of Padua, the path leads to the left along the stairs, descending through the foresters and continuing towards the sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows and the town of Lič. From Lič, you partly follow the gravel road through the vast Lika field towards the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows – an important spiritual and cultural site of the entire region. After a short stop at the sanctuary, the pilgrimage route continues towards the center of the Lič settlement, where the church of St. George is located – the patron saint of the town and also the oldest church in Gorski Kotar, which still bears witness to the deep faith and rich history of this region. The final part of the section leads along a gentle macadam road to Benkovac Fužinski, where the chapel of the Holy Cross is located – a modest and dignified destination that is also the final point of the Camino Gorski Kotar.

Accommodation availability between and at the end of this recommended daily route is limited.

Some pilgrims choose accommodation at one destination on the Camino Gorski Kotar route and use local taxi services to get to and from the daily stages.
