From Begovo Razdolje, the section continues at a leisurely pace through dense forest areas to Tuk Vojni and Tuk Mrkopaljski. The path then leads to the central settlement of this stage – Mrkopalj, dominated by the Church of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows. If you find yourself on this section from the evening of Saturday until sunset on the third Sunday in September, you can receive a plenary indulgence granted by Pope Gregory XVI in 1843. You can find accommodation and refreshments in the village of Mrkopalj. The route continues towards Sunger – a small but very picturesque village surrounded by dense forests. It is possible to take a short detour from this section to visit the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in the village itself or take a short break for refreshments. The section then continues towards Lučice – also the last point of this route. It is possible to spend the night in the village and rest so that you are ready for the new stage the next day.
Accommodation availability between and at the end of this recommended daily route is limited.
Some pilgrims choose accommodation at one destination on the Camino Gorski Kotar route and use local taxi services to get to and from the daily stages.
