Leaving the church of St. Francis, we take the sidewalk towards the Blue Lake, where the yellow arrows on the blue surface lead us downhill to the Dom Zdravlja (Health Center) and continue to the intersection that leads to the Park shop on the left and the Camino arrows lead us to the right. Soon, there is a playground on the left, we turn to the left and the path leads us through vineyards and an abandoned factory to the road where we turn left and before the main road to the right to the river Vrljika, which is our companion this day.
If you want to rest before turning onto the dirt road, you can continue walking on the road, over the bridge to Kamenmost, a small town with bars and shops – a good place to rest.
If you continue walking on macadam, the path takes us along the river Vrljika. The trees near the river provide welcome shade in the warmer months, and the river itself acts as a natural air conditioner.
After turning right, we reach the road, cross it and continue along Vrljika, looking at the ichthyological site of Perinuš across the river. Soon you come across a fascinating, albeit small, waterfall. The path winds along the river, with its old mills and churches. The river circles around a small island with a unique attraction – the Green Cathedral, an open-air shrine. The area of Proložac is a little different from the harsh rocky landscape.
Right here we end the second day of the Camino Imota.
Accommodation availability at the end of each daily route is very limited. Most pilgrims select their accommodation at one destination on Camino Imota route and use local taxi services to get to and from daily stages.
