The early Christian basilica at Crkvina in Zmijavci has a three-nave floor plan with two apses on the east side and a three-part narthex on the west. In the north nave of the basilica, next to the west wall, there is a smaller round baptistery, with a larger one to the north of the basilica. This early Christian basilica with baptisteries and tombs was built in several phases during the 5th and 6th centuries. Remains of stone decorated furniture from this church are kept in the Franciscan monastery and local museum in Imotski.

Just like a similar site at Cista Velika, this location tells a story about the first centuries of Christianity in this region.
