Porat is a small fishing village, located on the north west part of the Malinska bay. As the name suggests, Porat is known for its port, and it is recognizable by breakwaters which protect boats from winds, beside favourable location.

Surrounded by beautiful beaches such as Polovica or Uhlić, Porat is the place where you will fully enjoy in Mediterranean ambience.

In the west part of the village you can find an impressive francisian monastery called St. Mary Magdalena, for which it is believed it was built in year 1500.

You can also visit the unique remains of benedictine monastery and the little church that dates back to the 12th century.
