The Camino Podravina route starts in Ferdinandovac in front of the parish church of St. Ferdinand the King. Be sure to contact Robert (mobile; 0921299375) to get a passport for collecting stamps. You will also receive your first stamp here. Robert keeps records of pilgrims and from the church, he sees off each pilgrim on the Camino Podravina route. Our Robert will treat you to interesting stories and you will find out why the Camino Podravina starts in Ferdinandovac, what connections Spain and Ferdinandovac have. When you say goodbye to Robert, the path continues south and turns right into the surrounding fields. A field path leads you to the Bistra stream, which you follow on the right through a beautiful oak forest. During the rains, it is challenging to socialize with mud here. But even that has its charms. You turn off the stream to the right and through a large walnut plantation you reach the paved road that brings you to the small town of Batinska. You will pass by the Ivan Lacković Croata Gallery, which you should definitely visit (on the right). Not far away (500 m), to the east of the gallery, there is a beautiful lake that is ideal for a break. The Camino path will take you over the bridge over the Čivičevac stream and you will pass through the small towns of Molvice and Draganci.

In Draganci, you turn left from the main road and come to a side road on the right, which will take you past the birthplace of the famous Podravina musician Blaž Lenger. The path will take you further into fields and acacia forests and you will arrive in Podravske Sesvete. There you will be greeted by the Ecological Garden of Peace, the parish church of All Saints and the ethnographic collection of Josip Cugovčan. You continue along the paved road in a southerly direction and then turn right again into the fields, cross the stream and enter the forest. This path leads you through the forest to the Podravski Monastery. The Church of St. Benedict and Our Lady of Sorrows is very noticeable because it is located right on the road. There you will receive a stamp from the parish priest. Take a break in the surroundings of Worms. Continue to the center, to the roundabout and continue along the main road west. In Budančevica, turn right off the main road into the fields. The signs are on the electric poles. The field path leads you to a canal that dries up in the summer, and you have to cross the old wooden bridge and move along the right side of the canal, following the Camino signs. If you walk all day, you will definitely be in the afternoon, it is impossible not to notice the sunset that is ahead of you.

After a certain time, you turn right from the canal and continue along the field path through the acacia forest, which is beautiful. The sandy path you walk on also gives an additional sense of beauty. You will reach the paved road, just before the town of Kalinovac. Continuing along this road, you will reach the main street that will lead you to the parish church of St. Luke the Evangelist. And this is where the first day of walking the Camino Podravina ends. Enter the church and ask for a stamp. Our famous theologian Ivan Golub was born in Kalinovac, so you can also see his monument.
