This part of Croatian Camino is a route through Samobor area, which offers an ideal combination of the urban and the natural – so you can enjoy both the richness of its gastronomy and cleanliness of its fresh air.

The first stage winds through the heart of the Samobor Highlands, blending gentle hills with the dense beech forests of Žumberak. The route passes through Samobor and continues toward Vrhovčak, offering impressive panoramic views of rural landscapes. This segment is physically demanding (4/5) due to significant elevation gains, ending in the Smerovišće valley, which is well-connected to Samobor via local buses and taxis.

The second section is the longest and most challenging part of the route. The trail leads through deep forest greenery toward Jaska, passing natural attractions like the Cerinski Vir waterfall. The path traverses picturesque villages such as Mali Lipovec and Sveta Jana, where pilgrims can sample the local Portugizac wine. Despite the difficulty (4.5/5), the trail is excellently marked and offers an authentic experience of the Jastrebarsko region.

The final stage is a light and relaxing walk through the lowlands, entirely on paved roads. This segment focuses on spiritual heritage, visiting the birthplace of Cardinal Franjo Kuharić in Strmac Pribićki and concluding in Krašić, a renowned pilgrimage center. At the Church of the Holy Trinity, pilgrims can receive the stamp of Blessed Alojzije Stepinac, symbolically completing the Camino Samobor route.
