The third day of the Camino Zadar pilgrimage route begins in the peaceful coastal town of Sveti Filip i Jakov. After a morning rest, pilgrims continue along the seaside promenade towards Turanj, enjoying the fresh sea breeze and the picturesque view of nearby islets.

The path passes by the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Turanj, where pilgrims can receive a stamp, before continuing along the coast. This stretch offers a perfect opportunity for a short break in the shade, with a stunning view of Galešnjak, the famous heart-shaped islet, appearing in the distance.

Leaving Turanj, the route transitions to a sidewalk along the main road, leading towards the village of Tukljača. Here, a gentle ascent begins, eventually giving way to a gravel path that winds towards the village of Jurjevići.

The journey continues through Podvršje, a picturesque area dotted with traditional dry stone walls and olive groves, before reaching Bunarska Lokva. From there, pilgrims follow a scenic trim trail that cuts through the hillside and leads towards Sukošan. A designated resting area along this trail provides the perfect spot to pause, take in the breathtaking views, and recover from the climb. Along the way, it’s common to encounter recreational hikers enjoying the route in the opposite direction.

The day’s walk concludes upon reaching the town of Sukošan, where pilgrims can visit the Church of St. Cassian, receive a stamp, and unwind by the sea. Numerous cafés and restaurants along the coast offer a chance to relax before continuing the journey. Sukošan also provides various accommodation options, from hotels to private stays, making it an ideal place to restock supplies and prepare for the next stage of the pilgrimage.
