The sixth stage of the Camino Zadar pilgrimage begins in Nin, at the parish church of St. Anselm. Pilgrims set off through the historic town center, passing by the statue of Gregory of Nin and the Church of the Holy Cross, renowned for its distinctive architecture. The route then leads to the Petar Zoranić Memorial Park and the Church of St. Ambrose, nestled in a quiet corner of the town.
Passing under the stone vault behind the church, the path turns left toward the Nin salt pans. This section of the route offers a striking contrast between natural beauty and cultural heritage as pilgrims make their way to an intersection leading left to Zukva. Here stands the Church of St. James, facing the sea as if guiding pilgrims on their journey. This is a significant pilgrimage stop—a place to pause, reflect, and reaffirm one’s intentions.
From the Church of St. James, the path continues through village streets toward Vrsi, a welcoming town with a hospitable atmosphere, perfect for a short break. Here, pilgrims can rest, replenish supplies, and, if needed, spend the night.
Leaving Vrsi, the journey follows the coastline, offering breathtaking views of the sea as it leads toward the picturesque village of Ljubač. The final stretch of today’s route is a serene walk along the coast, where the shimmering waters and peaceful surroundings create the perfect ending to another day’s pilgrimage.
Ljubač, a quaint fishing village, provides a tranquil retreat for pilgrims to rest and prepare for the next stage. The route then continues toward the village of Rudići, where accommodations are available for those wishing to stay overnight.
Accommodation availability between and at the end of this recommended daily route is good.
The city of Nin itself offers apartments of various categories.
